2017Parking systems · LithuaniaDevelopment and on-site deployment
From camera images to a working parking system.
The first project was a parking system in Lithuania. It combined parking-terminal hardware, software and a custom number-plate recognition model. The work took Heinrich to Vilnius for several months.
The team connected image recognition to a real workflow: a vehicle arrives, its plate is recognised and the system processes the event. Hardware, software and site conditions had to work together.
What this brings to our work
This experience informs our integration approach: the complete workflow matters, including handovers and exceptions.
2018–2019Robotics · Laboratory workResearch and prototypes
Navigation, perception and the connection to the machine.
In a robotics and computer-vision laboratory, Heinrich worked with ROS, C++ and Python on mobile robots, manipulators and drones.
The work included mapping and localisation for a cleaning robot, tool-handling sequences with manipulators, and 3D mapping with cameras and LiDAR. These were research and prototype projects.

2022–2023Dr.Report · International pharmaDevelopment and handover
Different systems. A shared foundation for reporting.
An international pharmaceutical organisation used different ERP systems and accounting standards across several countries. Consolidated reporting required the data to be combined and reconciled.
DDC developed Dr.Report to consolidate and present financial data. Automated checks surfaced inconsistencies between sources. Heinrich led development and client coordination as CTO; the client team later took over maintenance.

A logistics project requires the same integration discipline: clear data models, dependable interfaces and traceable feedback.
2025–2026Crane-X · Construction analyticsMVP · Pilot on one crane
Computer vision under real operating conditions.
Crane-X applies computer-vision experience to construction operations. The system analyses camera footage to make work and idle periods, and selected situations around the crane, visible.
Development includes stabilising moving-camera footage, a dashboard and shift reporting. Its current stage is an MVP with a pilot on one crane.
What this brings to our work
The pilot provides the basis for improvements and evaluation of a broader rollout.
