FOR MANUFACTURERS

Who is in the danger zone without a helmet, you see immediately.

AI video analytics on your existing plant cameras: helmet, danger zone, open fire. Every alert comes with an image, without new cameras and without touching your equipment.

DDC is a brand of M2D GmbH, Siegburg.

WHAT WE BUILT

Helmet, danger zone, fire.
On the plant’s existing cameras.

For a processing plant, our team implemented video analytics for occupational safety on 18 cameras. The system detects people without helmets, people in danger zones and open fire, and reports every event with an image to the plant’s systems. A second AI checks the alerts once more and filters out false alarms. Plant and people are anonymised.

Clips from three plant cameras with the system’s detections: person detected, danger zones, person without a helmet. Date and camera names are blurred.
94.5 %Helmet detection quality (mAP50 metric)
93 %of reported helmets were correct
91 %of the helmets present were found

Helmet detection measured on test images from one site (110 images with 221 helmets, February 2025) that were not used for training; values may differ in other environments.

WHAT COULD GO WRONG

We have already thought of it.

01

Works council

In Germany we agree camera analysis at the workplace with the works council. Purpose, data and access are fixed before the start.

02

False alarms

A second AI checks every alert. The pilot report lists hits, false alarms and missed cases so you can judge for yourself.

03

Your data

If you require it, we run the system with a provider in Germany or on your own servers.

04

Your effort

Releasing footage, access to the camera system and one contact person. No changes to cameras or machines.

05

Limits

The danger zone warning is an assistance system, not a safety function under ISO 13849. Fire detection supplements a fire alarm system, it does not replace it.

06

Money

The pilot is credited against the operating fees of the first twelve months. If the pilot does not hold up, the report says so.

PROCESS AND PRICE

Proof first.
Then the investment.

1 · FIRST CHECKfree

30 to 60 minutes in a video call. You release two or three recordings, we check angle and light. Then an outline with a fixed price.

2 · PILOTfrom €3,900

One agreed event, for example a person without a helmet in zone A, on one camera view, about four weeks. Credited.

3 · OPERATIONfrom €59 per camera / month

Alerts with image via messenger bot or to your systems. From 10 cameras €45, from 25 cameras €35 per camera.

Funding for your project ↗

THE EASIEST FIRST STEP

Send us one frame from a camera.

You get it back marked with what the AI detects: people, helmets, zones. Free, no appointment and no obligation. Then you decide whether a conversation makes sense.

THE NEXT STEP

What should work better in your business?

Tell us about a process that takes up your team’s time. We discuss where automation could help and what is needed to define the next step.

Useful details: which plant, how many cameras, which event you want to see first and a frame from one camera.
