Project concept · Tool management

Know which tool is with whom.

We connect a cabinet with controlled compartments to traceable tool checkout. Permissions, tool identity and returns become one workflow your service team can use every day.

THE STARTING POINT

Where effort builds up today.

A tool is missing before a job or has been returned to the wrong kit. Staff reconstruct the last handover from messages; a closed cabinet door does not confirm what is inside.

THE DELIVERABLE

What you have at the end of the pilot.

01

Controlled checkout at the cabinet

We configure approved compartments, access rules and the intended opening and collection workflow.

02

Identification of the actual tool

Identification is selected for your tools and environment. Checkout and return are checked against the detected identifier.

03

An overview of exceptions

The responsible person sees outstanding returns and discrepancies. Emergency access, incorrect assignment and condition checks follow defined steps.

FROM TRIGGER TO HANDOVER

How one step leads to the next.

  1. 01

    Request a tool

An authorised staff member selects a tool for the task.

  2. 02

    Open and assign

The compartment is released. The tool identifier and person taking it are recorded.

  3. 03

    Check the return

On return, the identifier and compartment state are checked. Discrepancies go to the responsible person.

  4. 04

    Confirm stock and condition

The responsible person resolves exceptions, performs required condition checks and reconciles the inventory with the log.

YOUR EFFORT

We connect to your systems.
You stay focused on daily business.

What we take on ↗
  • One contact personSomeone in your team who knows the workflow.
  • Access to examplesDocuments, recordings or test accounts, depending on the task.
  • From managementOne kickoff conversation and the decision after the pilot.
THE FIRST DEPLOYMENT

A clearly bounded pilot.

One cabinet and a selected inventory of identified tools. The trial covers checkout and return; technical condition checks and release after maintenance remain with the responsible person.

What we need to begin

  • A suitable cabinet, power supply and an agreed emergency opening method.
  • A selected tool inventory with verifiable identification.
  • People responsible for access rights, condition and outstanding returns.
ASSESSMENT POINTS

Checkout and return time

We record routine transactions, searches, questions and assistance from tool managers.

Inventory agreement

A manual check compares compartment contents, tool identity and recorded assignment.

Transactions needing intervention

Failed identification, incorrect returns and manual openings are recorded with their reasons.

FAQ

Before we start.

Does every tool need an RFID tag?

Not necessarily. We assess identification for the material and environment. Codes or an additional scan are also options.

Does a return confirm that the tool is ready to use?

It initially confirms the recorded return. Condition, completeness and maintenance needs are checked by a responsible person under the agreed procedure.

What happens during a power failure or an incorrect return?

We define emergency access and manual recording before starting. These cases are tested and marked as exceptions in the log.

THE NEXT STEP
